Job Duties:
Lead the development of enhancements to and the development of new add-on software products for the Acumatica Cloud ERP platform. Guide and manage the Acumatica product development team, ensuring that our products meet both technical and business requirements while maintaining high-quality standards. Provide systems architecture diagrams, technical design documentation for the software developed, manage project timelines and budgets and may be called upon to provide in-house and end-user training and support for software enhancements or products developed and maintained by Blue Moon. Attend periodic customer meetings for the purpose of requirements analysis, design review and other topics related to the development of products and enhancements. Work with their own and other teams while understanding and adhering to our methodologies, project schedules and quality standards. The specific duties include:
- Lead the development of add-on products for Acumatica Cloud ERP that meet Blue Moon’s software quality standards
- Collaborate with the director of product development and other departments at Blue Moon to align project goals and timelines consistent with the product roadmap
- Act as a liaison between the Acumatica Product Development team and other teams to communicate project statuses, risks and issues
- Foster a collaborative team environment, mentoring engineers to enhance their skills and promote adherence to Blue Moon methodologies and quality standards
- Conduct periodic code reviews and quality assurance within the Acumatica Product Development team
- Monitor the progress and status of projects within the development team
- Facilitate training and onboarding for new software engineers joining the development team
- Design, code and test software enhancements and products within the Acumatica Cloud ERP
- Ensure the development of comprehensive formal design documentation for software provided by the team and lead the design review process
- Ensure the development of formal software test plans including participating in alpha- and beta-tests with vendor development environments
- Ensure the delivery of in-house training sessions to support software enhancements and new product rollouts for Acumatica Cloud ERP
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical support to Blue Moon staff and customers for Acumatica add-on products
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality implementation support to Blue Moon staff and customers for Acumatica add-on products
- Acumatica Developer Certification with a commitment to maintaining and updating certifications as new versions become available
- Maintain current and proficient knowledge of supported development environments, integration techniques
Min Reqs:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or closely related field (or foreign equivalent)
Experience:
Eight (8) years (96 months) of progressive software engineering experience
Special requirements: Demonstrated experience in the following:
- Development in the Acumatica Cloud ERP platform
- Programming with C#
- Development with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML/JSON, and SQL
- Development and data processing tools such as .NET, Windows Service, Web APIs, XML tools, Microsoft Visual Studio, SSMS
- Issue tracking and project management tools, such as Jira
- Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies
- Leading the successful development of an add-on product
